Thanks to all the students who tried out for the LPHT spring play, The Cow Tippers. There were a total of 37 students who tried out, but there were only 17 roles. It’s exciting to know all these students want to be a part of the drama department.

Again, thanks to all the students who participated in this year’s spring play, The Cow Tippers. If you made the cast, please pay the activity fee before the first practice. You may NOT practice until the fee is paid. If you have questions, please talk to Kelly Elling.
Play practice for the spring play begins next Monday, March 5th at 7:10 a.m. in Ms. Smith’s room, room 148. If you haven’t picked up your script yet, please stop by Ms. Smith’s room. Read the play and your lines by Monday. You will get a regular schedule by Monday, too. Thanks. – Ms. Smith
The LPHT drama department is looking for the following props for the spring play. If you have these items or know of anyone who does, please contact Ms. Smith. Thank you. Here are the following props needed:
3- 4 shoe boxes, 1 card table, pom-poms, a cowbell, an acorn, small basket, a Barbie doll, G.I. Joe-type doll, overalls (3-5 pair), 3 dolls, wedding veil, bow tie, 3 black ski masks, ladder, men’s muddy boots, small round table, checkered tablecloth, slingshot, FFA pin, spool of red ribbon, cow costume
Attention seniors: Graduation gown fitting is Thursday, March 1st during lunch. Please come to the band room after you finish eating to be fitted for a gown. If you are not in school during lunch, please see Mrs. Smith for an alternate time.
There is a track sign up sheet in the office. Please sign up if you are interested in participating in track this spring.
CHANGE: The Spring Sports Meeting will be on SUNDAY, MARCH 4TH at 7:00 pm at Lester Prairie High School. Everyone who will be participating in a spring activity needs to attend.
Seniors- The Lester Prairie Scholarship Fund Applications are due to Mrs. Mattson on March 6th. Please let me Mrs. Mattson know if you have any questions. Thank you!

The LP PTO is sponsoring the spring carnival on Thursday March 22. from 5-7:30. We are looking for volunteers to help with set up, games, food and clean up. Shifts are as follows:
Set up: 3:30/4:00-5:00
Games: 5:00-6:30 or 6:30-8:00
Clean up: 7:30-when finished

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are selling raffle tickets for the After Prom. Prizes are: $100 Prairie Dollars, $50 Garber Meats or $50 Cornerstone Hardware. The drawing will be held on Wednesday, March 7th.
Students in preschool through 5th grade will have spring pictures on Wednesday, March 7. Information is being sent home with students today.
Any student in grades 7-12 who missed the Trap team meeting and is interested in being on the 2018 team, should see Mr. Bjork immediately.
Firearm Training will be held at the L.P. Sportsman’s Club for age 11 to adult. The classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22 and 27. Please contact Gregg Trittabaugh at 715-220-6257 to sign up for the classes.
Attn: Juniors and Seniors, College Representatives are beginning to make spring visits to our high school. Information on visiting schools can be found on my website or outside of my door. You must sign up outside my door to attend. This is an excellent opportunity to get information about different colleges.
LP Alumni and Families: Teachers and community members are looking for info on our alumni. Census Forms: If you have or know of any children from birth to 7 years, please be sure they are on our census report. The census information allows us to get valuable info to our school district families. Please contact the school to be sure you are counted! 320-395-2521
