Auntie Anne’s announced a voluntary recall of their pretzel dogs. This included the Auntie Anne’s Fundraising Pretzel Dogs (6 per box) package with UPC code of 00895072000092. The pretzel dogs were produced on various dates from February 14, 2014 to November 14, 2014. The Club’s Choice Fundraising code for this product in our sales brochure is item #800 Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Dog. We also had a two for one item substitution for Club’s Choice Item #806 Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Dough. Some of the #806 substitutions contained item #800 Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Dog as one of the two replacement items. The reason for the recall is due to a mislabeling and omission of Soy Lecithin (a known allergen) on the Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Dogs label. According to Auntie Anne’s, there is no health risk associated with this product for individuals without an allergy to soy. Some of your families who participated in your fundraising event received this product. We have included the Auntie Anne’s recall announcement along with the sellers who sold this product. We here at Club’s Choice Fundraising are taking the proper steps to ensure that the health and safety of our customers is top priority. Below is the statement from City Line Foods Manufacturing Company. From Auntie Anne’s: The health and safety of consumers who enjoy our products is our number one priority. We are therefore working closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). We are immediately issuing a voluntary recall for certain frozen pretzel hot dog products manufactured by City Line Foods Manufacturing Co. and directing consumers with a soy allergy to contact City Line Foods Manufacturing Co. (customercare@citylinefoodsmfg.com or 1-877-778-9588) to return the product and request a full refund. It is important to note that this recall does not affect Auntie Anne’s pretzel stores found in malls, airports, and other venues. There is no health risk associated with these products for individuals without an allergy to soy. In addition, there is a full press release on the Auntie Anne’s web site. You can find that press release here:www.auntieannes.com/our-story/newsroom/media-releases/selectproducts- sold-by-fundraising-and-retail-affected-by-voluntary-recall Thank You Club’s Choice Fundraising Tuesday,  Nov  25,  2014       Time   Event   Details   Comments   3:30pm-‐  4:30pm   Basketball  -‐  Practice  7-‐8-‐ 9  Boys       Holy  Trinity  Gym       3:30pm-‐  4:30pm   Basketball  -‐  Practice  7-‐8   Girls       Lester  Prairie  Gym       4:30pm-‐  6:00pm   Basketball  -‐  Practice  10-‐ 12  Boys        Holy  Trinity  Gym       4:30pm-‐  6:00pm   Basketball  -‐  Practice  9-‐12   Girls        Lester  Prairie  Gym       7:00pm-‐  8:30pm   Parent  Component   Driver’s  Ed  Class       Lester  Prairie  High   School   Room  126           Practice  Shuttle  Times       3:08  -‐  Pick  up  at  Lester  Prairie       3:20  -‐  Drop  off  /  Pick  up  at  Holy  Trinity       3:35  -‐  Drop  off  at  Lester  Prairie       4:45  -‐  Pick  up  at  Lester  Prairie       5:00  -‐  Drop  off  /  Pick  up  at  Holy  Trinity       5:15  -‐  Drop  off  at  Lester  Prairie       No School on Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28.
