YEARBOOK UPDATE: The order deadline to buy your yearbook has been extended to May 25 due to the online ordering system closing too soon. You may order online at www.jostens.com/yearbooks/high-school-yearbooks.html, pick up an order form at school, or print an order form from our school website at www.lp.k12.mn.us/page/2992. Get your orders in by May 25, 2019. We apologize for the inconvenience. Be sure to order your yearbook before it is too late.
There are Student Council Applications in the office for the 2019-2020 school year. This is open to students in grades 6-11. See Cheryl Bayerl with any questions.
Youth wrestling singlets should be turned in at the office asap. Thank you!
All books must be returned to the library by Monday, May 20th.
The band raffle is going on until May 16th. The baskets that will be given away may be viewed in the display case near the gym. Raffle tickets are only $2 and may be purchased from any band member or may be purchased in the office. Please support our fantastic bands!

For anyone interested in Speed & Strength, sign up forms are in the office for grades 7-12. Please return your forms by tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15th. Speed & Strength starts June 3rd. See Mr. Weber with questions.
5th, 6th and 7th graders please turn in your purple registration sheets for band/choir to the office or Mrs. Helland asap. More forms can be found in the office.
Girls going into grades 6, 7 and 8: There are basketball camp forms at the end of the announcements to fill out and return to the office.

You get to choose the student that would fit best with your family’s activities and interests. Michelle Kiefer is a local International Exchange Coordinator and can help you find the perfect student. Summer youth baseball and softball umpires needed: Anyone interested in umpiring for summer Community Ed baseball and/or softball games please sign up in the office. Umpires need to be 9th grade or older. Earn some extra money and help out with the younger teams in Lester Prairie. If enough are interested, I will arrange for an umpire clinic again to help with new umpires and a refresher for those that have done it. K-6 Homework Help will be Monday’s from 3:00-5:00 in Mrs. Smith Kindergarten Room.
7-12 Homework Help is on Wednesday’s from 3:00-5:00 in Ms. Jenn Smith’s room.
2019 SUMMER VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE
Practices:
Grades 7-12 will have practices from 6:30-8:30AM Mondays and Wednesdays Starting June 3rd at LP Gym. There will not be practice the week of 4th of July. These practices will run through July 24th. The following week Captains practices will start. These practices are not mandatory, but we ask for a commitment from you to come as often as you are able! This is where skills are improved and alot more one-on-one time can take place! If enough girls come, more coaches will be provided to work with the girls! We want the Volleyball season to be FUN – and a Success, but we need to put the work in to make it into that Success!
2-A Days:
2 A-days will be August 12th-16th and August 19-23rd. Will be from 8am-noon, we break half ways through for lunch. This portion is for Grades 9-12. Tryouts will be the first week, with team selection by the end of week 1. Varsity has their first tournament Friday, August 23rd already, so it will be a busy 2 weeks of prepping for the season!
Elementary Volleyball Camp:
Elementary Volleyball camp will be taking place June 10-13th at LP School. Grades 1-3 will be from 1-2pm and Grades 4-6 will be from 2-3pm. We will need high school players to volunteer to help with the younger players! They look up to all of you, and it makes such an impact to have you all there; and is a huge help!
