This is Severe Weather Awareness Week.  Our school will be participating in a tornado drill at 1:45 p.m.

The 2013 Lester Prairie Lion’s Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 20th at the Lester Prairie City Park.  It will
be for ages 12 and under and will start promptly at 9:00 A.M.

Baseball, softball, and track for today have been postponed.  There is no make-up date for baseball and softball
yet.  Track has been rescheduled for April 29.

Band Students in grades 8-11 will be selling coffee for their Chicago trip until May 1st. If you would like to
place an order, please see any band student or contact Mrs. Helland.

Attention Girls’ Basketball Players:  Coach Kley has your wall jersey from the gym in his room.  If you would
like to take it home, please come and pick it up!

Starting Monday, April 22 the stage is off limits to students and staff due to decorating for prom.  On
Wednesday, April 24 at 3:00 p.m. through Sunday, April 28 the gym will be off-limits due to prom decorating.
You cannot get to the locker rooms through the gym.  Locker rooms will not be accessible after 3:30 on Friday,

We will be needing some materials for an art residency by artist Bart Buch who will be working with students
in grades 6,7,8 and creating masks and puppets.  This residency is part of a grant from the Prairie Arts Council.
The materials we need are:  plastic grocery bags, masking tape, newspaper, cardboard, brown grocery paper
bags, tissue paper, yarn, pattern or color socks, fabric-any size or kind, ribbon

Grade 8-11 Band Students: Please bring your raffle basket items in to Mrs. Helland by Friday, April 19th.

The Knowledge Bowl banquet will be held on Sunday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Pizza Ranch in Glencoe, MN.
(Beginning May 1 Pizza Ranch will be: Unhinged Pizza – same buffet, prices, management, etc.). The cost of
the buffet is about $10 per person. Knowledge Bowl participants, parents, siblings are invited. Awards

Booster Club will be sponsoring a concession stand at the boys and girls home games in Lester Prairie. We will
be featuring hotdogs, cookies, candy, chips, sunflower seeds, Gatorade, water & pop.  All proceeds will go to
support our athletic teams….GO BULLDOGS!!!!

Any boys and girls that will be in grades 7-12 NEXT YEAR and are interested in a summer basketball camp
may sign up for the Bulldog Breakfast Club.  Sign up sheets are in the office.  There will be 20 sessions
throughout June and July.  You can attend at 8:00-9:30 or 10:00-11:30 on each day.  The cost will be $80.00.

Juniors and Seniors attending Prom~  If you wish a specific song to be played at the dance, please add it to list

Attention parents and staff – we are still looking for a few adult workers for the games and clean up for the All
Night Prom Party on Saturday, April 27.  It is always a fun and rewarding evening.

Anyone needing the classroom portion of Driver’s Education pick up a registration sheet by Mr. Bjork’s door.
The orange sheet is for the June class and the blue sheet is for the August class.  You must pick either the June
class or the August class and attend all 10 sessions for that class.  You must be 14 years of age as of the 1st day
of the class you pick.  See Mr. Bjork if you have questions.

UMPIRES NEEDED. Lester Prairie Youth Baseball/Softball Association is looking for umpires for the youth
games this summer. Sign up sheet is in the office. Must be 14 years old or older. Great way to make some extra
money this summer!!!! Any questions call Jeff Engen 395-9839.

The weight room will be open after school on Monday and Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30.

The last days of Release will be Tuesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 25.

Needed:  Parent/adult volunteers to supervise in the school gym from 7:25 to 8:00 am.  You can sign up for one
day or as many as you’d like.  We would like this facility to be available during he school year but need
volunteers to supervise.  If you have 30 minutes in the morning, please consider signing up!  The sign up
