Congratulations the LPHT football team on their 54-26 win over Minneapolis North on Saturday. The Bulldogs
will now play Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa on Friday Nov. 1st @ Sauk Center High School. Game time is 7:00

There will be a fan bus for the football game on Friday in Sauk Center. We will leave Lester Prairie at 4:15 and
Holy Trinity at 4:30

“Any Baseball player that was unable to attend last nights Poinsettia Fundraiser Kick Off please stop by Mr.
Kley’s Room asap to pick up your fundraising packet.”

There is a sign-up sheet in the office for everyone interested in playing 7 & 8 grade basketball.

There will be a Knowledge Bowl meeting today at 3:30. Please meet in the Lobby. If you still wish to
participate in Knowledge Bowl, sign-ups are still n the office. Thank you!

The “No Tricks Just Treats” band concert will be on Monday, November 4th at 7:30pm. It will feature, Jazz
Band, Drumline, Junior and Senior Bands.

Junior High band students are asked to bring a dozen treats to the band room by noon on Monday November 4th
for the band concert.

The junior class has started their annual fruit sales fundraiser. If you have not been asked and would like to
order, please let Mr. Bjork know and a student will come see you.

JUNIORS: Anyone who did not get fruit order forms or if you need extras, see Mr. Bjork

The LP/HT/W-M Trap team is selling raffle tickets as a fundraiser to cover the cost of targets next spring. If
you are interested and have not been asked, please let Mr. Bjork know and a team member will be sent your

Friday, November 1st is the end of the first quarter. School will be dismissed at 11:30 on November 1st.

The LP Student Council and National Honor society will be participating in “We Scare Hunger” (Trick or
Treating for canned foods) on October 31 from 6-8 p.m. in Lester Prairie. Students are taking action to collect
non-perishable food items in the community to help stop local hunger before it strikes. All perishable food
items will be donated to the McLeod County Food Shelf. Please join us in the act to stop local hunger by
donating! Thank you!

The next free lunch will be on Wed., Nov. 13 at the UCC Church.

We will have homework help after school every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:15.

Any high school student who is interested in officiating youth basketball please see Mr, Walstorm. It is good
pay and easy work.

There will be a spaghetti dinner for the benefit of Doug Minnick on Sunday, November 3 from 11:30 to 2:00 at
St Paul’s Lutheran Church at 124 Maple Street N. in Lester Prairie. Freewill donations will be accepted at the
door. Doug was involved in a motorcycle accident last summer and money raised will help alleviate medical
expenses. Proceeds raised from this project will be matched by the home office of Modern Woodmen of
America up to $2,500. Doug’s wife, Shirley Minnick, was a para at Lester Prairie Schools for several years.
Please show your support.

It is time for Knowledge Bowl! KB is a jeopardy style quiz game that challenges students to work together in
teams of 4-5 (senior high) – 10-12 grades, and 5-6 (junior high) – 7-9 grades to answer general high school and
junior high school questions. It is a chance to celebrate your knowledge and skills in the academic realm. Meets
will mainly be on Saturdays, usually leaving early in the morning and returning between 2-4 in the afternoon.
You can also earn a letter in Knowledge Bowl. Please sign up in the office with your name, phone number and
email address. Practices will usually be held on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:15-4:30 p.m. at school. The first
practice will be Monday, Oct. 28. Cost is $40 or $25 if you have registered for the fall play. The fee must be
paid in order to participate in practices and meets. Please contact KB Coach Jenni Sebora if you have any

There will be a public flu clinic sponsored by Homeland Health held at LP School during conferences on
Monday, Nov. 11 and Thursday, Nov. 14 from 5:00 to 7:00. The clinic is offering the new Quadrivalent Flu
Vaccine and is open to anyone ages 6 months and up. Please bring your health insurance card to the clinic.
They are an in network provider for Medica, BCBS, Health Partners, Preferred One, UCare, America’s PPO,
Prime West, South Country Health Care Alliance and Medicare. They will bill your health plan. The cost if
uninsured and over 18 years will be $30 for the injection and $35 for the FluMist. The cost if uninsured from
ages 6 months to 18 years is $15. Cash only, no checks please.
