Today’s Menu: Hamburger on a Bun or Turkey Burger on a Bun, Baked Beans, Carrot Sticks, Peaches, Milk

Tomorrow’s Menu: Beef Ravioli with Bread or Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Au Gratin Potatoes, Lettuce Salad, Banana, Milk

Future Problem Solvers had a fantastic meet on Saturday in St. Cloud. Emma Eckstein, Kalley Christen, and Gael Lopez placed first in state in the Junior Novice division. Anna Litzau, Zach Jackson, and Jason Zimprich placed fourth in state in the Middle division and, along with Ethan Schultz, will be one of about 10 teams representing Minnesota in the FPS International Competition in June. Congratulations teams! Way to make Lester Prairie proud!

7th & 8th grade baseball practice will start today at Holy Trinity today from 3:15-4:30.

The Basketball Banquet for the Boys’ and Girls’ Teams will be held on Sunday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the LP Gym. This banquet is for all varsity, JV and C squad players, manager, cheerleaders and families. Please join us for a meal and end of the season banquet to celebrate the great season all the teams had! Let’s show our support to these great student athletes for all their hard work!

JR & SR PROM AND AFTER PROM PARTY REGISTRATION:    Invites are in the mail.
Tuesday March 27th, Wednesday March 28th from 7:40-8:10 a.m. in the LPHS lobby.  Please bring completed Prom and After prom party registration forms and separate payments (Prom $50.00 After Prom $25.00. If you will not be able to register on these dates, forms and payments can be turned in at the office in an envelope labeled PROM.

The week of March 11th forms were mailed to Juniors and Seniors’ home addresses on file with the school.  If you did not receive yours or if you have questions, contact Mrs. Mattson (Prom is Saturday April 28th)
 
Congratulations to Blake Krienke for making it to state in the National Geography Bee.  He will compete on Friday April 6th against other winners from Minnesota.  Congrats Blake!

The LPHT drama department is looking for the following props for the spring play.  If you have these items or know of anyone who does, please contact Ms. Smith.  Thank you. Here are the following props needed:
a Barbie doll, G.I. Joe-type doll, wedding veil, 3 black ski masks, men’s muddy boots, cow costume

School will not be in session on Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2 due to the Easter Break!

Senior Jenna Dolezal is collecting new or gently used stuffed animals to give to the Lester Prairie Police Department. The police department will hand these stuffed animals out to the children that may be involved in accidents or tragic events. They will be used to comfort the children in the time of need. The stuffed animals need to be appropriate for children and preferably a small enough size to hold on to. There will be a collection box in the office. Your donation is greatly appreciated. This week is the last week for bringing in stuffed animals for the police department.

Homework help is held with Jan Smith on Mondays and Jennifer Smith on Wednesdays.
