Important Notes and Reminders

Seniors:  Please submit your graduation photos for the yearbook by March 31st.  Please submit electronic files. (Minimum size 2.5 in x 3.5 in at 300 dpi) You can send us the full size photo and we can take care of the sizing. When our final layout is complete the pictures may be cropped to other dimensions. All senior photos are cropped with vertical orientation.  It would be great if you could have your photographer submit the picture digitally. Email the photo to stender@lp.k12.mn.us  We can scan a photo you submit to us but the quality will be better if you can get us the photo in digital form.  Please have your photographer submit your photos when you have them taken. If you do not plan to have a senior graduation portrait taken please let us know that as well, we can take a photo for you. We want everyone in the yearbook.  If you do not submit a photo, we may use your individual photo taken in the fall by the school portrait photographer.  stender@lp.k12.mn.us or yearbook@lp.k12.mn.us

Juniors are still selling fudge until March 15th. Questions, please contact Mr. Thode or Ms. Stender.

All students will be dismissed every Friday at 11:40 until further notice due to the Executive Order by the Governor.

The 2nd Annual Read-A-Thon will run from February 16-28, 2021 for the elementary students.  Turn in your reading tracker TODAY.  Prizes will be announced on Friday, March 5th.

We are looking for items for the 2021 Bulldog Bash!  If you have items, you may drop them off at school or contact school and they will connect you with a Foundation member. Foundation members are: Becky Kerkvliet, Joe Scoblic, Terri Helland, Rick Heimerl, Mary Otto, Kim Kutz, Shannon Alsleben, Jackie Ziermann, Chris Schultz, Christine Mattson, Jackie Ruzicka, Shandon Mathews, Sara Drier, Kim Schauer, and Cheryl Bayerl.  The bash will be held on April 17, 2021, more information to follow in upcoming weeks.

A virtual Spring Sports Meeting for 7-12th grade students will be held on Tuesday March 16 at 7:00 PM. A link to the meeting will be posted on the home page of the school website and the activity calendar. Registration is now open for Spring Sports. Forms are available in the school office and on the school website.  Anyone interested in golf should see Ms. Wolff by Friday, March 5.

7-12 Baseball practices will start on Monday March 22

7-12 Softball, Track and Golf practices will begin on Monday March 29

The Trap team will have an optional practice on Saturday April 3. Official practice begins on Sunday April 11.

As the Robotics teams’ regular seasons come to close and regular meetings are no more. Consider joining Coach Teut for a Spring and/ or Summer Coding Session. Details like specific dates are in the Community Ed Booklet. You have until March 15th to secure your spot for $28. For Current 5th to 12th graders for the spring. $53 by June 21st for incoming 5th-12th graders.

Registration is now open for Summer 2021 Lester Prairie Youth Softball and Baseball for youth ages 4 to 18. Registration forms can be found in the school office. Any questions should be directed to Jeff Engen. Completed registration forms can be mailed in or turned in at the school office. The deadline to register is March 19.

Mon 3/1 – JH Girls Basketball players are dismissed at 2:40 for their game at St. Josephs. The bus will leave from the elementary side at 2:55. Players must be dressed for the game before leaving.

Tue 3/2 – The bus for V/JV/C Boys Basketball at West Lutheran will leave from the elementary side at 3:20. Players should be dressed for their games before leaving.

Tue 3/2 – Wrestlers are dismissed at 2:10 for their match at Tri-City United. The bus will leave from GSL at 2:45.

Thu 3/4 – JH Boys Basketball players are dismissed at 2:55 for their games at St. Josephs. The bus will leave from the elementary side at 3:10. Players must be dressed for the game before leaving.

Thu 3/4 – Wrestlers are dismissed at 2:40 for their match at New London-Spicer. The bus will leave from GSL at 3:15.

Some of you have heard that the Lester Prairie Lions Club has started a plastics recycling program.  We are partnered with the Trex composite decking company to recycle plastic shopping bags.

Approved Items include:
