The National Honor Society is sponsoring one of their biggest schoolwide projects, Pennies for Patients. The Pennies for Patients project is a campaign to help raise money to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma found in children. Our schoolwide goal is to raise a total of $2,013. With the help of everyone in the school, we are sure we can reach and even to above and beyond our goal. The high school and elementary class that collects the largest sum of money by Friday, February 15th, will receive a prize.

Also, in an effort to exceed our goal, the National Honor Society will be selling suckers for 50¢ a piece at all home events during the weeks of the campaign. On behalf of the National Honor Society, we encourage everyone to participate in this project. The contributions you make can go a long way to help save lives, so please help us make a difference. Attention Seniors and Parents: Financial Aid Meeting February 6th @ 6:30 pm in the Media Center.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be sold every Monday and Friday by the high school office.  All funds raised will go towards building an ice skating rink and warming house in town.  Please help the Future Problem Solvers finish their project by buying some yummy treats!  Hot chocolate is $1.00 and cookies are $0.50 each.

Juniors and Seniors: Remember that open lunch is a privilege.  Juniors you are able to go to the front entry lobby area, seniors you are allowed to be in the senior hallway.  Please remember there are classes going on in the HS hallway and we need to eliminate the noise in this area.  Please see Mr. Schmidt with questions.

The Sophomore Class is in need of red Christmas Lights and an archway for Snofest Coronation. If you have any of these items, please contact Mrs. Mattson as soon as possible. Thank you!

Homework Help has started again! Homework Help is open to anyone in grades K-12.  It will take place from 3-4 p.m. on Monday-Thursday.  We will try to have a teacher and at least one para there each night.  Students must stay from 3-4 p.m. if they are signed up or if they sign up on their own so the staff can focus on helping and not checking students in or out. Homework help will take place in the media center.

There is a track and field sign up sheet in the office.

There will be a trap team meeting on Monday February 4th at 6:30 pm in the LPHS Computer Lab.
