Important Notes and Reminders:
The last day of school for students in Kindergarten through 11th grade is TODAY which is a full day of school.
Missing charger and Chromebook damage fees will be sent to students in the first few weeks of summer break if not paid before the end of the current school year. Students will need to have these paid before receiving a Chromebook for the next school year.
A set of earbuds was turned in last Thursday a.m., found in the fitness center. See Ms. Wolff to identify &claim.

Make sure you mark your summer calendars for Lester Prairie Days on July 15 and 16th! There will be lots of fun activities, great food, and a parade and fireworks on Saturday night. In order to make sure Prairie Days is successful, lots of volunteers are needed! This is a great way for students to volunteer in the community. Help is needed to set-up on Thursday evening, help with games and activities on Friday and Saturday, and help take down on Sunday. It’s Yearbook time! Get your 2022 yearbook for $55. Personalization and icons are available for an additional charge. Forms were sent home with elementary students and high school students can pick up a form in the office or on Ms. Stender’s door. Session Two of Classroom Driver Education will be held 8:00-11:00 AM Tuesday May 31 – Saturday June 4 and Monday June 6 – Friday June 10. You must attend all 10 classes. Registration forms are available in the school entrance and may be returned to the school office. Cost is $120. Scholarships are not available for Driver Ed. Looking for host families! Make an International Student’s Dream Come True! EF High School Exchange Year connects volunteer host families with students from Europe and Asia. You get to choose the student that would fit best with your family’s activities and interests. Michelle Kiefer is a local International Exchange Coordinator and can help you find the perfect student. United Way of McLeod County has Activities Scholarships available for K-12 students who reside in McLeod County. There are income guidelines to qualify. These scholarships can be used for school athletics and activities and community ed offerings (except Driver Ed). Scholarship applications are available in the school entrance and must be turned in to the school office when registering for activities.
Activities and Sports:
2022-23 Sports Physical forms are available in the school entrance or can be downloaded from the LP Activities website. All incoming 7th graders who will participate in a school sport next year will need this physical form. An updated physical form is due every 3 years.
Mark your calendar! The 2022-23 Athletics/Activities participant/parent meeting will be held on Monday August 1 at 6:30 PM. This meeting is for any 7-12th grade student who plans to participate in a school-sponsored sport or activity during the 2022-23 school year. This meeting will cover MSHSL rules, LP expectations, and the registration process.
