Lester Prairie was still ahead of Dawson-Boyd this morning but we need to continue to vote to stay ahead
of them. Thanks for showing your School Spirit and keep up the good work. GO BULLDOGS!!!!!
Mandatory Senior Class Trip Parent/Student Meeting on Wed., March 10th, at 6:30 in the library.
PLEASE KEEP VOTING!!!! LP has advanced to the fourth round of the Fox Preps spirit bracket
challenge. The Bulldogs have beat Annandale, Northfield and Owatonna and are now up against the defending
champion Dawson-Boyd. Rally your friends, classmates and co-workers to vote for your school! 64 schools
will meet head to head until one school can claim the title and win the Spirit Cup, a live broadcast from your
school, FREE food from Arby’s, and bragging rights, of course! Go to www.foxpreps.com and click on the
Spirit Contest link. From there follow the directions provided (LP is in the outstate schools bracket). Let’s
make sure we all vote and show the entire state how much school spirit LP has. GO BULLDOGS!!
The After Prom Party Committee will be accepting Raffle Tickets to be turned into the high school office until
Friday, March 5th. Tickets were delivered to all sophomore, junior and senior students. PLEASE make an
extra effort to get them turned in.
Aubony Bridal of Hutchinson has made a nice donation to the After Prom Party AND will donate $5.00 extra
for every dress purchase and/or tux rental. Coupons for this will be mailed with your invitation and registration
forms. Extra coupons are also in the high school office. Guys: Aubony will also pick up your tux at the high
school on Monday, after Prom. Thank you Aubony Bridal of Hutchinson!!
Any 7-12 grader who was not at the spring sports meeting, please see Mr. Johnson by Friday, March 5.
Any 7-12 spring baseball players who are interested in playing catch in the gym can do so starting this Sunday
from 12:00-12:45 pm. It will continue every Sunday until March 22nd. – Coach Grams
Attn. 7-12 baseball players: If you haven’t done so already, turn in your hat money ($14) to Mr. Grams as soon
as possible. Also, you have until March 9th to turn in your clothing forms. If you missed the spring sports
meeting you can pick up a clothing form from Coach Grams, just stop by his classroom.
Nominations for the Lester Prairie Bulldog Hall of Fame are being accepted now through Wednesday, March
17th. For more information, please contact Thayne Johnson, Activities Director, Lester Prairie High School.
Mr. Weber still needs baby pictures from Scott and Britani S. He needs senior pictures from Bethany, Sarah
and Aly. He needs both senior and baby pictures from Shane, Linus, Ana, Brittney H., Tawny, Nick N., Max,
Tasha, Evan, Erin, Brad, Doug, Amanda, Nick T. and Alex A.
Registration for the 2010 Youth Baseball/Softball is on Thursday, March 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 in the Lester
Prairie High School Lobby.
The Lester Prairie elementary wrestling tournament will be held here on Saturday, March 20th. We are looking
for volunteers to help us run the tournament. We will need your help starting from 9:00 until approximately
1:00. For your help, you will receive a t-shirt and lunch. If you have any questions, you can call Greg Hartwig
at 485-2872. Please see Mr. Johnson to sign up to help at the tournament. Thanks!
There are extra spring sport apparel forms in the office. REMEMBER: all orders are due to the office y 3:00
p.m. on Friday, March 12th. Any questions, please contact Christine Dammann at 320-395-2858. Thanks and

Support those in need . . . Donate food to the McLeod County Emergency Food Shelf. The need for emergency
food provisions is growing. Please assist those in need by making a donation today. The drive will run from
March 1 through March 31 and is sponsored by the Lester Prairie Business Assn. The donation box is in the
high school lobby.
Please continue to collect Box Tops for Education and watch the expiration dates. There are tops that will
expire on 6/1/10 so those will have to be submitted before they expire. One more mailing will be done before
then so those funds aren’t lost.
Elementary Cookie Dough Sales will run March 1-15. For every “5” you receive a duck for daily rewards from
March 1-5. Join in the fun!

Any High School Students who are interested in face painting for the carnival which will be held on March 25,
please see Mrs. Klobe.
The school carnival is approaching quickly (March 25). We need parents, teachers and other adults to volunteer
as game coordinators, so we can have the same amount of fun, games and success as in the past. Anyone
interested in volunteering can contact Lisa Howard at 320-485-2603 or lisahoward@tds.net. Your help is
critical!!
Wanted: Donations for the prize walk at the school carnival which will be March 25. Donations may be
dropped off at the office. Thanks!
Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you are planning to participate in Prom, you must have all your dues paid.
Please pay these as soon as possible so you can attend Prom. Dues must be paid before Prom registration which
will be at the end of March. Dates to be announced.
Yearbook Meetings: Every Wednesday after school
Reminder: If you aren’t out for an activity or staying with a staff member to take a test or work on school work
~ you should not be in the building or you need to wait for your ride in the main lobby area.
Open gym is held on Sundays from 1-2:30. Adult open gym from 7:15-9:00. The cost for adults is $2.00 and
students $1.00.
A workshop “Beyond Myths of Mild Injury/Concussion” will be held March 8th, 2010 in Marshall. This
workshop explores how to recognize mild brain injury, identify risk groups/prevention, & identify resources and
supports. This workshop is for individuals with brain injury, professionals, community members, and parents.

The fingerprint date is Monday, April 12.
The Winsted Fish Fry will be held on Friday, March 12 from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Blue Note Ballroom in
Winsted. The all you can eat menu includes Fish Fillets with Tartar Sauce, Potato Salad, French Fries, Baked
Beans, Cole Slaw, Bread, Milk, Coffee. Advance tickets at $9, tickets at the door are $10, children 6 to 10 are
$5 and 5 and under are free. The drive thru (adult tickets only) will be from 3:30 to 7:00 only. Tickets are
available to the Blue Note, Keaveny Pharmacy, Winsted Public Library, Glenn’s Super Valu, H&R Block, at
the Drive Thru or from members of the Knights of Columbus.
Mark your calendars for our 5th annual Bulldog Bash. The evening is set, Saturday, March 27, 2010 and the
location will be the Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted, MN. It will be an evening of fun and socializing all for a
great cause – our school and the children of our community!
