Lester Prairie recommends residents take action to avoid frozen pipes

LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – The City of Lester Prairie has received several reports of frozen residential water lines. The city recommends that residents monitor their water temperature, and if it is getting close to freezing UPDATE: IF THE WATER TEMPERATURE BEGINS HOVERING NEAR 45 DEGREES, they run a pencil-size stream of water running to help keep pipes from freezing. At this point, no water usage allowances have been approved. The city is recommending this action in the residents’ best interest to avoid damage and expense from frozen pipes.
