lp.fLESTER PRAIRIE, MN – An early-morning fire ripped through a Lester Prairie residence Friday. It started in the house, heavily damaging the interior, and then moved to the garage (shown). The Lester Prairie Fire Department, with help from the Winsted Fire Department, extinguished the blaze at the Laura Pruden residence on Hickory Street North, adjacent to the south side of the Lester Prairie High School. Lester Prairie Fire Chief Jim Hoof said no one was injured. Hoof said the fire appears to have been accidental, but the cause is still under investigation by the fire marshal.
