We will be doing a half court shot contest at half time at Friday’s game. Pay a dollar and try your luck!

K-4 Students: Please turn in your Future Hoopsters forms. If you have any questions please call Kelly Elling.

The next free lunch will be today at St. Paul’s Church.

There has been a change in the school lunch menu. We will be switching Wednesday and Thursday’s lunches.

We will have Turkey and Gravy over Mashed Potatoes on Wednesday, December 16 and we will have Hot

Dogs or Cheese Wraps on Thursday, December 17.

The Elementary Student Council is collecting food for McLeod County Food Shelf until December 18. We will

be delivering the food on December 21.

There will not be speech services on Thursday, December 17.

Detention this week will be with Mr. Weber. Detention will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 pm

and on Wednesday from 7:10-8:00 am.

Grades 7, 8 and 9 will be going skiing on Tuesday, January 12, at Buck Hill. If any student did not get a

permission form please pick one up in the office. Forms are due December 18.

The St. Cloud State University Representative will be here on Monday, December 21st at 11:00. Be sure to pick

up your pass outside of Mrs. Mattson’s Office beforehand.

Homework Help for Grades 7-12 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursday. Meet in the Media Center with Mrs.

Helland.

The DVDs of the play are in. If you paid your $7.00 you may pick up your copy in the office. If you have not

paid your $7.00 you will need to bring it before you can receive your copy.

The weight room in Lester Prairie is open M-Th from 3:05-4:15. It will stay open as long as students continue

to show.

Open gym is held on Sundays from 1-2:30. Adult open gym from 7:15-9:00. The cost for adults is $2.00 and

students $1.00.

The National Honor Society will be selling candy canes during lunch hour starting December 7th and ending

December 18th. The candy canes will be delivered to anyone in the school. The money raised through these

sales will go to Mary’s Place.

The following students were the top two finishers in their grade on the Spelling Bee preliminary test. Here are

the finalists with the number correct. There were 50 words. The local Spelling Bee has been rescheduled for

Wednesday, December 16th at 4:00 p.m. in the media center. Congratulations to the winners and all

participants.

Please continue to clip and save box tops (see BTFE.com for more information). The next contest is for

students in grades K-12 to win their favorite teacher a $25 gift certificate to a Spa/Salon. Submit box tops

(check expiration dates) with the teacher’s name on the package (baggie, envelope etc.), and turn them in at the

recycling bin located by the old elementary office. The teacher who gets the most box tops submitted for them

will win the gift certificate. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009.
