Congratulations to the 2A Sub-Section champion LP/HT Bulldogs! The boys beat Cedar Mountain-Comfrey
last night 71-55. The boys will now play Springfield for the Section 2A Championship. The game will be at
MSU-Mankato at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19th. GO BULLDOGS!!!
Sign-up for the fan bus by Thursday at 3:15. If your name is not on the list by Thursday, you cannot go on the
bus. The cost will be $5.00. The fan bus will leave at 3:30 on Friday. Tickets for the game will be $6.00 for
adults and $4.00 for students.
The boys basketball team has order Sub-Section Champion T-shirts and they will have some available to the
fans (student & adults). They will be available in the high school lobby on Friday morning at 7:45 a.m. The
cost is $10 and they will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis. You must have your money to get one. There
were only a limited number ordered – so get your right away! Any questions, call Kelli Machemehl at 320-395-

There will be a Pepfest on Friday at 2:45. Please release all band members at 2:30.
Reminder to 7-12 band students: A signed note from a parent is the only way to be excused from Friday’s pep
band. The note needs to be brought to Mrs. Helland asap. Thanks!
There will be a welcome home at the L.P. School after the game on Friday.
Friday is Maroon and Gold Day. Wear the school colors to show your school spirit and support for the Bulldog
Boys’ Basketball Team. Good Luck Bulldogs!!!!!
8th Grade: Way to go yesterday! Your behavior at “The Diary of Anne Frank” exceeded expectations! It was a
joy to spend the day with you and we are proud of each of you. Thank you for being such wonderful

Reminder: Please turn in your summer baseball and softball registrations forms in the office by Tuesday,
March 30.
Juniors and Seniors: The cost of the Prom Banquet at the Science Museum is $50 per person. This includes
dinner, your admission to the Science Museum, and an Omni Movie. The cost of the After Prom Party is
$20.00.
The Lester Prairie Sportsman Club will be having a firearms safety class on Monday and Tuesdays from April 5
through May 4. The classes will be held from 7:00-9:00. Please call Gary Godel at 320-395-2561 to register.
Dr. Victor DeNoble will do a presentation about the dark side of addiction and the tobacco industry on Tuesday,
April 6 at 7:00 pm at the Glencoe-Silver Lake High School Auditorium. The presentation is free and open to
the public. For more information please contact Jean at 320-864-1376. This event is sponsored by MEADA
Coalition of McLeod County, United Way of McLeod County and the Herald Journal.
Aubony Bridal of Hutchinson has made a nice donation to the After Prom Party AND will donate $5.00 extra
for every dress purchase and/or tux rental. Coupons for this will be mailed with your invitation and registration
forms. Extra coupons are also in the high school office. Guys: Aubony will also pick up your tux at the high
school on Monday, after Prom. Thank you Aubony Bridal of Hutchinson!!
Any 7-12 spring baseball players who are interested in playing catch in the gym can do so on Sundays from
12:00-12:45 pm. It will continue every Sunday until March 22nd. – Coach Grams
The Lester Prairie Elementary Wrestling Tournament will be held here on Saturday, March 20th. We are
looking for volunteers to help us run the tournament. We will need your help starting from 9:00 until
approximately 1:00. For your help, you will receive a t-shirt and lunch. If you have any questions, you can call
Greg Hartwig at 485-2872. Please see Mr. Johnson to sign up to help at the tournament. Thanks!
Support those in need . . . Donate food to the McLeod County Emergency Food Shelf. The need for emergency
food provisions is growing. Please assist those in need by making a donation today. The drive will run from
March 1 through March 31 and is sponsored by the Lester Prairie Business Assn. The donation box is in the
high school lobby.
Please continue to collect Box Tops for Education and watch the expiration dates. There are tops that will
expire on 6/1/10 so those will have to be submitted before they expire. One more mailing will be done before
then so those funds aren’t lost.
Any High School Students who are interested in face painting for the carnival which will be held on March 25,
please see Mrs. Klobe.
The school carnival is approaching quickly (March 25). We need parents, teachers and other adults to volunteer
as game coordinators, so we can have the same amount of fun, games and success as in the past. Anyone
interested in volunteering can contact Lisa Howard at 320-485-2603 or lisahoward@tds.net. Your help is
critical!!
Wanted: Donations for the prize walk at the school carnival which will be March 25. Donations may be
dropped off at the office. Thanks!
Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you are planning to participate in Prom, you must have all your dues paid.
Please pay these as soon as possible so you can attend Prom. Dues must be paid before Prom registration which
will be at the end of March. Dates to be announced.
Yearbook Meetings: Every Wednesday after school
Reminder: If you aren’t out for an activity or staying with a staff member to take a test or work on school work
~ you should not be in the building or you need to wait for your ride in the main lobby area.
Open gym is held on Sundays from 1-2:30. Adult open gym from 7:15-9:00. The cost for adults is $2.00 and
students $1.00.
The fingerprint date for kindergarten and 6th grade students as well as students new to the district in grades 1-5
is Monday, April 12.
Mark your calendars for our 5th annual Bulldog Bash. The evening is set, Saturday, March 27, 2010 and the
location will be the Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted, MN. It will be an evening of fun and socializing all for a
great cause – our school and the children of our community.
