Congratulations Varsity Football on your 33-14 victory over Lions Gate last Friday night.

The Varsity is now 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the MCAA conference and tied for second

place. Treat job guys!

Football players: Remember tonight is coronation in LP. Be at the gym by 7:20. You

will all be announced.

Fall play meeting/auditions will be Tuesday, September 29 at 7 pm. Meet in Room 144.

Hey Football Fans – the LP/HT Bulldogs will be playing the St. John’s Johnnies on

Friday, October 9th, 2009. The game will be played at St. John’s University in

Collegeville, MN at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. If you would like to attend the game, we

will be trying to get a fan bus set up. The cost is $4.00 for the bus plus your ticket into

the game. Students not going to the game will be required to be in school. Students in

grades K-6 are required to have a parent chaperone with them. Pay and sign-up in the

office by Wednesday, October 7.

Friday – Maroon and Gold Day. Pep Fest at 2:20. Parade starts at 5:45, $1.00 off

admission to the

game if you bring a can of food.

The Lester Prairie Bulldog Booster Club is hosting a homecoming parade on Friday, Oct.

2 at 5:45 p.m. at the school. The parade route will begin at the high school and proceed

up to the football field. The football game will follow at 7:00 p.m. We invite Grades 7-

12 and the various school organizations and athletic teams to participate in the parade by

entering a float or walking in the parade. The Booster Club will provide each float

entrant with $25 to help defray the cost of float building. Anyone interested in having an

entry in the parade should contact Jill Fiecke at LP school by September 29.

Youth Cheerleading: Please have your cheerleader at school in the library by 6:45 pm on

Monday, Sept. 28th. The coronation begins at 7:30. On Friday, Oct. 2nd the girls will be

in the homecoming parade. Please have them at school by 5:15. The parade starts at

5:45. If you have any questions, please call Jill Fiecke at 320-894-7326.

Youth football and volleyball players will be introduced at coronation on Monday,

September 28th. The coronation starts at 7:30. Please have your football player wear

their jersey and your volleyball players are to wear their t-shirt. They will also have a

pepfest of their own on Monday so please have them wear their jerseys and t-shirts to

school if possible. Thanks for your support of Homecoming 2009!!!!!

Retake day for students that were absent or need to have another photo taken will be on

Tues., Oct. 13. Preschool students will have their pictures taken on Tuesday, Oct. 13 and

Wed., Oct. 14.

Mike Perry from Jostens will be here on Thursday, October 1st during lunch to hand out

information packets regarding class rings. He will be back next week to take orders.

The National Honor Society will meet on Wednesday, September 30th at 7:15. Please be

on time!

Yearbook Staff Members are needed. Please see Mr. Weber.

Ann Schmit, the speech clinician, will not be here on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Please do not

send students to her that day. Thank You!

REMINDER: L.P. School has had confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu as well as the

regular influenza. Please make sure to practice good precautions against the flu. These

include covering your cough, washing your hands and staying home if you have a

temperature of 100 or more, cough, sore throat or are throwing up. If you experience any

of these symptoms, please report them to the office. If you are ill, please stay home until

you are off fever-reducing meds for 24 hours and during this time have not had a fever.

Fall Festival at Holasek’s Greenhouse on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 3:00-5:30 pm. There will

be activities for all ages including pumpkin painting, hayrides, card making, fall flower

arranging, corn husk dolls, face painting, story telling, leaf rubbing and a scarecrow

building contest. In addition there will be music by local musicians, drawings for door

prizes and food. All activities are 50¢ to $1.00. Scarecrows will be judged at 5:00 and

the grand prize will be a $25 gift certificate for Holasek Greenhouse and a $15 Subway

gift certificate! This event is co-sponsored by the Prairie Arts Council and Fred Holasek

& Son Greenhouse.
