Congratulations to the LeClaire Family on the arrival of their new BABY BOY!!! He arrived this morning at

2:19 a.m. and weighed 8 lbs. 14 oz. Mom and Baby are doing well!!!!

Games Today (weather permitting):

Varsity

Baseball vs. West Luteran – Game is at Campbell Field in Winsted at 4:30

Varsity Softball vs. West Luteran – Game is in LP at 4:30.

Track at Sibley East. Bus time 2:30 – Please dismiss athletes at 2:20.

Congrats to the 8th grade Baseball Team on two great games this week. They lost 9-2 to HLWW and won 13-6

against Maple Lake. Keep up the great effort! – Coach Neubarth

REMINDER: Anyone interested in ordering letter jackets, your order form and money needs to be turned in to

Mr. Johnson by this Friday, April 30.

Any player who is currently failing a class and ineligible to play should not be getting out early to ride the bus

for games.

The spring Football meeting will be this coming Monday, May 3rd at 8:00 a.m. for this years 8-11 graders in Mr.

Scoblic’s Room. Please note the time. Captains, camp, weight lifting, and other discussion will be covered.

Please be on time.

Seniors will be meeting in Mr. Rue’s music room on the elementary side for Song Rehearsal at 1:45 today.

The MCAII Science Test is next week. The 8th graders will take the test on Wednesday, May 5th at 8:30. The

10th graders will take the test on Thursday, May 6th at 8:30.

REMINDER: Please turn in your prom video forms by today. Thanks!

Reservations for the 2010 Lester Prairie High School Yearbook are being sold. The cost is $60. This is all

color, and includes a DVD with more photos and music. Order forms are available in the office.

The 2010 Lester Prairie Elementary Yearbook is being sold. The cost is $15. This yearbook includes pictures

of students in preschool through grade 6. Order forms are being sent home with elementary students and

additional forms are available in the office. These yearbooks should arrive at the end of May.

Detention this week (4/26 – 4/30) and next week (5/3 – 5/7) will be with Mrs. DeBruyckere in the HS Computer

Lab.

The LPHS Weight Room will be open this summer to students, grades 7-12, Monday thru Thursday from 12-4

pm. Here is another option for those of you that want to stay fit and healthy.

Starting May 1st, all LP/HT students are welcome to join America’s Fitness Center in Winsted or Lester Prairie

at a discounted rate. You must be 16 or older to come alone. If you are 13-15 you must have a parent with you

and the parent must also have a membership. The cost would be $90 for the summer, from May thru August,

plus a $5 fee for the access card give out. That’s $95 for 4 months of membership, which would typically be

over $150. The enrollment fee is being waived. If anyone is interested, please contact Rob Neumann at

ATTENTION Basketball players – the 2010 150/200 hour club sheets are in the office. Pick one up today!!

The 10th Annual Bulldog Shoot-out 3 on 3 tournament will be held on June 4 & 5. Registration forms are

available in the office.

Any students in grades 9-12 who may need to complete summer school: The Crow River Area Learning Center

in Hutchinson has opened summer school registration. Registration will be open from March 15-May 28 for

both summer sessions. Please see Mrs. Mattson as soon as possible to receive information/application.

Please continue to collect Box Tops for Education and watch the expiration dates. There are tops that will

expire on 6/1/10 so those will have to be submitted before they expire. One more mailing will be done before

then so those funds aren’t lost.

Ridgewater College will be having their 2010 Summer Camp in Hutchinson from July 19-22 and in Willmar

July 26-29. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m – 3:30 p.m. everyday. See Mrs. Mattson if you are interested in

attending.

The Elementary Student Council will meet on Monday, May 3 at 2:30 in the cafeteria.

    With the end of the school year coming up, now would be a good time to get teachers registered with Adopt-A-Classroom, a nonprofit program that helps teachers raise funds to purchase resources for the classroom. It provides an easy way for members of the community to make tax-deductible donations to teachers. Teachers can then immediately access the funds online and purchase supplies; the donor receives a report detailing item by item how the funds were used.
