• The Football Coaches from Hutchinson & Sibley East have made contact with me and would like to have 3-4 Sunday evenings of varsity 7 on 7 in Hutchinson. At this point, June 14, 28, & July 12 are the dates selected. This would be mainly for QB, RB, TE, & Rec., but all would be welcome. Any of next years 10-12 graders who would be interested please come to
Mr. Scoblic’s Room and sign up. If there is enough interest, we will go forward.

• Basketball: Boys’ Varsity Sub-section – Thursday, March 12 at 7:30, LP/WHT vs. Glencoe-Silver Lake at Lester Prairie High School.
• LPYSBA (Lester Prairie Youth Softball/Baseball Association): Registration Thursday,
March 12, 4-8 p.m. in the LPHS Lobby.
• Dollars for Scholars Applications are due next Tuesday, March 17.
• Wrestling Tournament: The wrestling club will be hosting its annual elementary wrestling tournament on Saturday, March 21. We are in need of volunteers to help as table workers doing scoring and timing. There will be a meeting to get organized at 9:00 a.m. on the 21st and the wrestling will start at 9:30. The wrestling will last 3-4 hours. You will receive a free t-shirt and a lunch for your help. Please see Mr. Johnson for more information. If you are able to help, please sign up with Mr. Johnson so that we know how many helpers will be available.

• Seniors: Meet the Bulldogs Profiles are due! The following students still need to turn in their profile to Mrs. Mattson or Carol in the office: Darrin Bebo, Katelyn Cohrs, Jordan Freeman, Kayla Hagman, Peter Heuer, Kate Larson, Felipe Medina, and Arthurine Zakama.
• Community Presentation: The McLeod County Partners in Prevention and Meth Education, and Drug Awareness (MEADA) of McLeod County are sponsoring a community presentation on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:30 at the McLeod Co. North Complex in Glencoe. The topic will be Over the Counter and Prescription Drug Abuse, What everyone should know–by Jay Jaffee, who is a Chemical Health Coor. For the MN Dept. of Health. In addition, a panel of local experts will provide input and answer questions.
Bus transportation from the LP School will be provided by McLeod Co. Public Health for youth and adults. The bus will leave LPHS at 6:00 p.m. A light supper will be served (free will offering). Stop in the H.S. Office for more information, to pick up a permission form and to RSVP.

(This is a volunteer event that requires no obligation towards military service.
All participants need to fill out a waiver and turn in by April 10. Transportation,
meals, and sleeping arrangements will be taken care of.)
• Spring Drivers’ Ed Class – due to low numbers, the Drivers’ Ed Class will be postponed until June 8 – June 19. The class will run for a two-week period, 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. Students must be 15 years of age by the start of the class. Fees: $90 for District resident or current open enrolled student; $125 for Out of District students. Forms are available in the high school office.
