City Council Minutes
January 10, 2023
The Lester Prairie City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Mayor Mike called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Motion – Krause; Second – Dhoore; Carried- Unanimously; To accept and approve the final 2022 Budget as presented.
Motion – Tritabaugh; Second – Krause; Carried – Unanimously; To accept and approve the following 2022 claims as paid.
This concluded the 2022 old business.
Acting Mayor Sean Tritabaugh administered the Oath of Office to Chris Mike to serve as Mayor 2023-2024. Mayor Mike administered the Oath of Office to Paul Dhoore to serve as Councilman 2023-2026. Mayor Mike administered the Oath of Office to Mark Thiry to serve as Councilman 2023-2026.
Motion – Dhoore; Second – Krause; Carried – Unanimously; To accept and approve the December Minutes as submitted with the change that Council member Thiry had conversation with an individual about a salt storage shed and it was not an email. Change was made.
Motion – Thiry; Second – Tritabaugh; Carried – Unanimously; To accept and approve the December Special Minutes as submitted.
Motion – Dhoore; To accept and approve the December Treasurer’s Report as submitted.
The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Tritabaugh and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken.
Voting for the motion: Tritabaugh, Krause, Mayor Mike, Dhoore
Voting against the motion: Thiry
Abstained from vote: None
Mayor Mike declared motion passed by majority vote this 10th day of January, 2023.
Motion – Tritabaugh; Second – Dhoore; Carried – Unanimously; To make the following appointments for the year 2023.
Councilman Tritabaugh introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 1-23 A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER VACATING A PORTION OF IRVINGTON AVENUE AND A RELATED ALLEYWAY
The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Thiry and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken.
Voting for the motion: Tritabaugh, Krause, Mayor Mike, Dhoore, Thiry
Voting against the motion: None
Abstained from vote: None
Mayor Mike declared Resolution 1-23 passed by unanimous vote this 10th day of January, 2023.
Motion – Thiry; Second – Krause; To renew a Fire Fighting Service Agreement with Bergen Township for 1 year.
The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Krause and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken.
Voting for the motion: Tritabaugh, Krause, Thiry
Voting against the motion: None
Abstained from vote: Mayor Mike, Dhoore
Mayor Mike declared motion passed by majority vote this 10th day of January, 2023.
Councilman Tritabaugh introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION 2-23 RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY AS UNCLAIMED PROPERTY
The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Krause and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken.
Voting for the motion: Tritabaugh, Krause, Mayor Mike, Dhoore, Thiry
Voting against the motion:
Abstained from vote: None
Mayor Mike declared Resolution 2-23 passed by unanimous vote this 10th day of January, 2023.
Councilman Thiry introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 3-23 A RESOLUTION ALLOWING AUTOMOTIVESERVICES AT ANDY’S BODY SHOP
The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Dhoore; and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken.
Voting for the motion: Tritabaugh, Krause, Mayor Mike, Thiry, Dhoore
Voting against the motion: None
Abstained from vote: None
Mayor Mike declared Resolution No. 3-23 adopted by unanimous vote this 10th day of January, 2023.
Councilman Tritabaugh introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 4-23 A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR FOR TRANSCRIBING SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF LESTER PRAIRIE
The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Krause; and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken.
Voting for the motion: Tritabaugh, Krause, Mayor Mike, Thiry, Dhoore
Voting against the motion: None
Abstained from vote: None
Mayor Mike declared Resolution No. 4-23 adopted by unanimous vote this 10th day of January, 2023.
Motion – Tritabaugh; Second – Krause; Carried – Unanimously; To pay the following 2023 claims.
Mayor Mike adjourned the meeting at 8:25 pm.
