LDC boys win two

The Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato boys hockey team won two games in recent action, defeating Prairie Centre 4-3 Thursday, and downing Hutchinson 5-3 Saturday.

The Dragons are now 10-6 overall on the season.

At Prairie Centre, Brand Pederson scored with 4:26 left to break a 3-3 tie to give the Dragons the victory. Pederson finished with two goals and an assist.

Orrin Grangroth had a goal and an assist, and Dylan Schutz added a goal.

Dragons goaltender Darby Halonen stopped 20-of-23 shots to pick up the victory. He also scored his first assist of the season on Grangroth’s power play goal 14:50 into the first period.

No stats were available at this time for the Hutchinson game.
