For nearly 60 years, the Lake Mary Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) has been a staple for many of its member veterans, but with its membership gradually decreasing in recent years, the organization now finds itself in need of new people to keep it going.

Dave Remer, Dave Gailey, and Howard Lake Police Chief Dave Thompson, three current VFW members, are leading an effort to try and increase membership and participation within the organization.
