K of C free throw contest at HT Sunday

All boys and girls, ages 10 to 14, are welcome to participate in the local level of competition for the 2013 Knights of Columbus free throw competition, which will take place Sunday, Jan. 20 at 12:30 p.m. in the gym at Holy Trinity High School in Winsted.
The competition is free and open to all students.
Participants are required to furnish proof of age, and written parental consent.

The event is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district, and state competitions. All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event.
International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters, based on the scores from the state-level competitions.
Last year, more than 130,000 sharpshooters participated in more than 3,000 local competitions.
