WATERTOWN, MN – Participants in the Golden Spike contest leading up to Watertown’s Rails to Trails festival could earn $300 in Caleb’s Cash. Here are the first clues:

July 10 – Watertown is having a celebration. The Golden Spike is the quest. It will not be retired this year. This celebration is fit for a king.

July 13 – Crow River BBQ Challenge is back. Your good fortune is in the east. Watertown is a developing community Forest, burs and oaks are important.

In order to claim the cash, a participant has to find the Golden Spike, which will be hidden on public property within the city limits of Watertown.

The festival will be Friday, July 17 and Saturday,  July 18. Daily clues will be available at area businesses first thing every morning, and later in the day clues will be posted on the www.railstotrails.ws web site, as well as the Herald Journal bogs site (www.hjblogs.com ) until the Golden Spike is found.

Caleb’s Cash can be spent with any participating Watertown Chamber of Commerce business.
