John Raisanen an all-state selection

Dassel-Cokato senior John Raisanen (above) was one of just 16 players selected to the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Academic All-State team in Class 3A.

In order to earn this award, a player must be a senior letterwinner, and starter, while having outstanding football and leadership ability.

They also must be excellent in the classroom, where a player has to carry a 3.0 grade-point-average his sophomore, junior, and the first quarter of his senior year.

Raisanen has excelled as a member of the Chargers football team, and is currently playing for the Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato boys’ hockey team.
