The area of Highway 7 from Polk Avenue to one-half mile west is impassible until further notice, according to MnDOT Engineer Kelly Brunkhorst. The area, located between Carver County Road 10 and Highway 25 was already closed to through traffic as part of the Highway 7 construction project, but that particular stretch is now impassable because crews have removed all but a narrow strip in the middle of the roadway, Brunkhorst said during Wednesday’s project update. The area has been fenced off by the contractor to keep traffic out of the area.
