Howard Lake couple hurt in Highway 12 crash


FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, MN – A Thursday evening crash on Highway 12 resulted in noncritical injuries for a Howard Lake couple.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2013 Ford pickup driven by Paul Nelson, 43, of Montrose, was eastbound on Highway 12 at 7:18 p.m. when it turned left toward Calder Avenue in front of a 2013 Chevrolet Express Van driven by Larry Miller, 70, of Howard Lake.

Miller suffered noncritical injuries and was transported to Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Passenger Diane Miller, 66, of Howard Lake, also suffered noncritical injuries and was transported to Ridgeview.

Nelson was not injured.

All individuals involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
