HLWW – Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (HLWW) High School hosted a community symposium dedicated to the health and safety of students March 12.
HLWW and Dassel-Cokato Schools partner for the annual event, and trade hosting duties each year.
During the school day, students rotated through presentations from several organizations, including the Emily Program – body image and eating disorders; NAMI – National Alliance on Mental Illness; and MN Teen Challenge – substance abuse.
A free meal was offered at the HLWW Commons, and the symposium continued in the auditorium with speakers detailing mental health and social media issues impacting students locally, today.
