HOWARD LAKE, WAVERLY, WINSTED, MN – In a perfect world, people would always treat one another with kindness and respect, and bullying wouldn’t need to be discussed.
But, since bullying affects a lot of children in America today, staff at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District are doing everything they can to help reduce this issue.
They’ve found that education – not just punishment – is the best approach.
“You know, punishing these kids, it doesn’t work,” commented School Resource Officer (SRO) Darek Szczepanik, who has been with the district since 2010.
