HLWW to approve budget reduction target Feb. 12

HOWARD LAKE-WAVERLY-WINSTED, MN – One item on the agenda for the Monday, Feb. 12 Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School Board meeting is to approve a “budget reduction target amount” for the 2018-19 school year.

At the work session in January, Superintendent Brad Sellner said he had found some areas where the school could save money, such as switching to a less-expensive testing software, not replacing a custodian who resigned, implementing a budget freeze, and more.

The Feb. 12 meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the high school media center. Look for coverage in the Friday, Feb.16 edition of the Herald Journal.
