HLWW Middle School shows its holiday spirit
HOWARD LAKE, WAVERLY, WINSTED, MN – The annual ugly tie contest at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Middle School took place Dec. 19, with many students digging out their dad’s ugliest Christmas tie.
Winners were: first place – Cathy Rufer; second place – Brenden Ohlemacher-Lonetti; third place – Amber Gunderson; fourth place – Kristy Cardinal; fifth place – Bailey Flom; and sixth place – Nicole Warren.
Ugly Sweater Day took place Dec. 20.
Winners were: first place – Gwen Larson; second place – Gavin Dalbec; third place – Harley Smith; fourth place – Hallie Jo Berg; fifth place – Ashley Roemer; and sixth place – Emma Williamson.
Many students and staff dressed up as elves and Santa’s helpers, as well as Christmas trees and reindeer Dec. 21.
Winners were: first place – Cameron Gotvaslee; second place – Grace Gagnon; third place – Ariana Higgins; fourth place – Isabelle Roufs; fifth place – Logan Sale; and sixth place – Brenden Probst.
