HOWARD LAKE, WAVERLY, WINSTED, MN – The Friday, Dec. 18 announcements for the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District are as follows:

Hot Lunch: Popcorn Chicken, Curly Fries, Broccoli, Cheese, Fruit
TODAY, 2:30 p.m. is the last day for schedule changes for the 2nd semester!!

BOYS BAKETBALL: Games at Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity tonight; tipoff is 4:45 for the first game and the bus leaves at 4:00.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Will play at St. Cloud Cathedral on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd; tipoff is 6:00 and the bus leaves at 4:15.

BOYS HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT: The Lakers will play Southwest Christian on Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 7:30.

BOYS JV TOURNAMENT: Lakers will play Litchfield at 1:00 on Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 1:00.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lakers will play at the Norwood Young America Invitational on Monday, Dec. 28th; both JV will play at 3:00 and the Varsity at

WRESTLING: Will be at Eden Valley-Watkins on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd; first match is at 6:00 and the bus leaves at 4:00.

GYMNASTICS: Will host Rockford on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd; meet starts at 6:00.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING FFA CDA PARTICIPANTS: Parliamentary Procedure, Novice Parliamentary Procedure, Extemp Speaker – William Schanus, Public Speaking-Doreen Lorentz and Sabrina Kiesar, Floriculture, Nursery/Landscape. Everyone did a fine job.

KB: Practice will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting 12/14 in Athman’s room

YEARBOOKS: Reminder that yearbooks are on sale for $65.00. You need to give your order forms and payment to Mr. Smith before school or between classes, NOT DURING CLASS. Get your orders in now.

SENIORS: Reminder if you still want to order Jostens graduation products you must have the order form into their office by December 28th.

Winter class begins Monday, January 25. Deadline to register for winter class is Tuesday, January 12. Registration forms with complete information will be available at the High School office, Middle School office, Winsted and Waverly Elementary offices and the Community Education office in Howard Lake or online at www.hlww.k12.mn.us/community_education
