GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lakers beat Watertown-Mayer for the Section 5AA Championship 55 – 49. They will play Pipestone on Wednesday, March 18th at Williams Arena. Tickets and T-Shirts are available in the High School Office. Student tickets are $8.00 and Adults are $12.00.
BOYS BASKETBALL: Lakers will play Pierz at 8:00. The players bus will leave for Dassel-Cokato at 5:15.
WRESTLING: The wrestling banquet will be next Thursday, March 19, 2009 starting at 6:30 for highlight video and meal at 7:00. This year will be a potluck. Please see Mr. Granrud to find out what to bring.
Gymnastics banquet this Thursday March 19th at Waverly Elementary School. Time: 7:15pm. Please bring a dessert to share.
ULTIMATE: Practices will be held at the middle school gym (use west entrance). Sunday, March 22 from 3-4pm.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Food Science team that placed 2nd in Mankato on Friday.
FAN BUS: Sign up for the bus in the High School Office to Williams Arena. Cost is $3.00 and we need a signed note(can be signed, emailed or faxed [320.543.4601] ) from your parents. Fan bus will leave at 5:15 and the Band bus leaves at 5:00.
KB: Students who want to attend KB meet on Wednesday, March 18th, let Mr. Athman know today.
SENIORS: Application forms for all the local scholarships are available. This includes all the Memorial Scholarships, Legion, Lions, Masonic Lodge, and the health care scholarships. Seniors can pick up the forms from Kathleen in the Media Center. Completed forms and all Letters of Recommendation are due by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 1st.
TEACHERS: Please excuse the following students for a KB on Wednesday, March 18th: Trevor Christensen, Justin Crowley, Alyssa Marketon, Sheldon Carlsted, Cassie Houston, Logan Moen, Austin Christensen, Natalie Borell. Also on Monday, the 30th: Trevor Christensen, Justin Crowley, Alyssa Marketon, Sheldon Carlsted, Crystal Jones.
ST. MARY’S YOUTH: Religion classes have been cancelled for Wednesday, March 18th to give the students the opportunity for attend the ball game.
AFTER PROM ACTIVITIES
There will be an After Prom Party meeting tonight, March 16th at 6:30 pm in the High School Commons. Parents please join us in planning the upcoming After Prom Party.
After Prom Pancake breakfast Sunday, March 22nd at the KC Hall in Waverly from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon.
After Prom Bingo will be held at the KC Hall in Waverly on Sunday, March 22nd starting at 6:30 pm.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity, University of Minnesota Scholarships: 3-$1000 and several Housing scholarships valued at $1960 given to eligible applicants. Both scholarships are available to all incoming male freshmen and transfer students entering the U of M-Twin Cities. Requirements for scholarship are in Resource Center. Deadline is March 27.
Minnesota Chapter of Farm House Fraternity, U of M -Twin Cities is offering (3) $1000 scholarships. Final Deadline is March 20. Information is in Resource Center.
2009 Minnesota Clean Air Choice Scholarship – 1st Place Essay: $1000, 2nd Place Essay: $500 Essay deadline is April 30. Information is in Resource Center.
St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Scholarship Committee – Eight $400 scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing a career in agriculture, home economics, or forestry. Applications are in Resource Center.
