HLWW daily bulletin for Monday, May 8 – clay target team in second place

Clay Target is in second place. Congratulations to Jacob Gallus, who is number one in the conference with a 23.5 average, but is also in the top 100 in the state. Brandon Cuadros, Joshua Marketon, Brandon Roberts, Blake Mathisen, Garrett Zachman and Elias Rehmann are also are in the top 25 in the conference. *************************************************************************

Bass Classic on Howard Lake – Fishing Tournament: On Saturday, June 3,  HLWW Wrestling is hosting its Second Annual Bass Classic on Howard Lake. The winning team (2 anglers/boat) wins a prize of $1,000. The second place team receives $500. The tournament runs from 7:00 am to noon. The Midwest Elite Basketball Camp – will be returning to Howard Lake this summer. The And One Camp is a two- day camp which costs $105, and includes ten hours of instruction (five hours each day). The camp will be held in the high school gym June 22-23. This camp is for all girls going into grades 7 through 12 next year. If interested, please pick up a camp form in the high school or middle school office. Checks may be made out to ISD 2687. Forms can be turned into Kayti in the high school office. Attention all 8th-11th grade volleyball players​: An informational meeting will take place in Ms. Decker’s classroom on Thursday, May 11 at 7:20 am. Discussion includes the upcoming season, summer camps, expectations, etc. Let Ms. Decker know if you cannot make it.

American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Poster: ​Anyone is interested in being a part of the Poppy Poster Contest this year, see Miss Main for more information.

SELF DEFENSE CLASS: ​The student council will be holding a self-defense seminar May 18, 3 pm to 4 pm. This is a one-time course that is directed towards young women in preparation for college and life after high school. Men can also come as well, only as long as they are serious about the topic. Questions, please talk to or e-mail Caresa Kosek. Look for flyers in the hallways.

Baccalaureate: May 31 at 7:30 in the high school auditorium. Pastor Jake will be doing the service.

SUMMER STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING: ​Is scheduled for 7-12th grade students. Three different sessions are available starting June 12. Seventy dollars per person, with a $100 family max. Forms are in the HS Office to be picked up.
