HL’s new city administrator is happy to re-plant her small-town roots


HOWARD LAKE, MN – Howard Lake City Administrator Jennifer Nash grew up in Albion Township, not far from Howard Lake.

“I love central Minnesota, and I really love the small towns here,” Nash commented.

Nash graduated high school in Annandale.

Nash obtained a bachelor’s degree in public administration from St. Cloud State University, and is currently working on a master’s degree in public administration through Metro State University.

Prior to accepting the city administrator position in Howard Lake, Nash completed an internship with the City of Winsted, held the assistant to the city administrator position for the City of Northfield where she worked for more than four years, and was the deputy clerk for the City of Howard Lake since Jan. 2013.
