HL Expo Saturday, March 20

The Howard Lake Expo is one of those events that, to me, signals spring is almost here.
Saturday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Middle School, visit exhibits from local businesses. Also this year, the expo will feature a book fair, food, a health and medical area, entertainment, and door prizes.
If that is not enough to get you there, how about a free pancake breakfast? Pancakes and sausage will be served from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Dog owners
I received a call from the city of Howard Lake asking to remind dog owners that dog licenses expire May 31.
The cost is $5, and can be picked up at city hall with proof of rabies shots.
Dogs running at large in the city limits is considered a nuisance (ordinance violation.)
Impound fees will apply to dogs picked up by the city.
