Do you want to help name 12 wolf puppies born recently? KARE 11 news is hosting a “Name the Pups” contest for the pups who were born on the grounds of the Carlos Avery Wildlife Management Area. April 27.

Between now and May 23rd, email your ideas for possible pup names: wolfpups@kare11.com. You can help name these male pups. Contest officials will narrow the list down and kare11.com will post a poll May 26-June 9 for you to vote again for the final selections.

Two of the pups (both males) were moved to the International Wolf Center May 9. The others will remain at the Wildlife Science Center. All will be available for public viewing this summer. The mother is a gray wolf, Macy, who gave birth to the litter. She is the daughter of a gray wolf from Yellowstone National Park.
