GND baseball tournament results from Friday

HOWARD LAKE, MN – The opening night of the 2009 Good Neighbor Day’s baseball tournament was an exciting one.

In game one, Atwater battled for 10 innings before finally beating Kimball 6-5 in 10 innings. Atwater scored the game winning run thanks to a suicide squeeze with the bases loaded.

The second game of the evening drew a huge crowd as the host Howard Lake Orphans faced off with the Winsted Wildcats.

Winsted pulled out a tight 2-1 win, with Tony Kley throwing all seven innings for the Wildcats to get the win.
