COKATO – The DC girls swimming & diving team fell to Class A third-ranked Delano at home Thursday, 106-75.
Megan Nelson, in diving, and Katelyn Lee, in the 100 Breaststroke, were the only first-place finishers in the meet for the Chargers.
However, coach Nathan Youngs was pleased with his team’s effort, noting the Chargers had 102 season-best swims, and 70 career-best performances. In addition, DC had two girls that qualified for the section meet for the first time: Camryn Patten and Kaisa Salmen, who both qualified by going under 29 seconds in the 50 Freestyle.
The Chargers will visit Orono Thursday in what is expected to be a close matchup.
