Garlic festival in Howard Lake Saturday

The third annual Minnesota Garlic Festival will be Saturday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Wright County Fairgrounds in Howard Lake.
It is a family-friendly event that features all-day entertainment, including celebrity chefs preparing the menu at the festival restaurant and conducting cooking demonstrations under the big tent.
Other attractions include old fashioned kids games, kite flying, a youth art competition, a wide range of stage performers, and fresh local foods including garlic ice cream.
Admission is $5 for adults and kids under 12 are $3. Parking sponsored by the Winsted Boy Scouts is $1.
