Free computer and television collection in Wright County

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – Wright County will be conducting a free computer and television collection event for Wright County household residents Wednesday, July 29, at the Wright County Compost and Recycling Facility (WCCRF), located northwest of Buffalo; with extended hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The WCCRF is located at 505 County Road 37 NE, about 2.5 miles west of State Hwy 25 or 1/3 mile east of the Veolia Rolling Hills Landfill.

County residents will be able to drop off up to three computers and two televisions per household.  Each computer can consist of the monitor, CPU (hard drive box), printer, keyboard and speakers.  Simply come to the Wright County Compost & Recycling Facility between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29th to properly dispose of any computers and/or televisions you no longer want or need.

No household hazardous wastes or other recyclable materials will be accepted during this event.  This collection is for electronics only.  All other materials will be turned away.  We will not be requiring appointments for this collection so please be patient if there is a line to drop off electronics.  All participants will be served on a first come basis and we will not close early.

Wright County is offering this free computer and television collection event to household residents of the entire county.  Drivers’ licenses may be checked at the collection to confirm Wright County residency.  Businesses or other entities should call (320) 963-5797 or (763) 682-7331 to determine if their computers and/or televisions could be accepted at this collection event.

Check the Wright County website at www.co.wright.mn.us for more information about this free computer and television collection or call the Wright County Planning and Zoning Office at (763)-682-7338.
