Fox 9 Town Ball is coming to Watertown on Wednesday, June 8. The Watertown Red Devils and the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce are pleased to welcome this popular summer event.
Fox 9 will start doing interviews during their 6 am morning show from downtown Watertown. They will be letting the viewers know about the many events that are taking place during the day. The events start downtown with what the Watertown Chamber is calling “The Downtown Double Play.” This event is downtown from 2 to 5 p.m. with the local businesses offering specials and giveaways to introduce visitors to downtown Watertown.
Fox 9 will start broadcasting from Highland Baseball Park with their 5 p.m. newscast and will be doing interviews during its newscasts. The Fox 9 Ice Cream Truck will be at the park giving away free ice cream. The Red Devils Baseball team will be providing other events such as live music, bounce house, baseball history, youth softball, and baseball games.
There will be free Red Devil towels and autographed photos of your 2021 MN State Amateur Baseball runner-up team. Admission to the game is free thanks to a donation from the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce. The Red Devils concession stand will be offering hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, sweet corn on the cob, beer, pop, and other concession items. There will be Watertown Red Devils merchandise for sale.
Before the game between the Watertown Red Devils and the Plato Blue Jays at 7:30 p.m. the Watertown American Legion will present the colors with the National Anthem. There will also be honorary people throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. The game features two of the top teams from the CRVL.
