Four hurt in Wright County crash

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – Four people, including one woman from Winsted, sustained non-life threatening injuries in a two vehicle crash in Buffalo Township Thursday afternoon (Aug. 10), the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

A 2007 Chevrolet Aveo, driven by Bobbi Jean Smith, 33, of Buffalo, was traveling east on 10th Street NE and turned to go north onto Calder Avenue NE. A 1989 Buick LeSabre, driven by Cortney Marie Mattila, 19, of Winsted was traveling west on 10th Street NE and failed to stop at the stop sign, resulting in a collision with the Aveo, according to the report.

Bobbi Jean Smith and her 5-year-old passenger, Brylee Jean Smith, were both transported to North Memorial Hospital.

Mattila was transported to Buffalo Hospital. No health care facility was listed for her passenger, David Thomas Mosford, 13, of Buffalo.

All four people involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Assisting agencies included the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Buffalo Police Department, and Allina.
