For the nature lovers out there....There appears to be something rare and unique going on just south of Lester Prairie. Myself and a few other curious "bird/raptor watchers" spotted 8 bald eagles high in the trees along the Crow River today. They were located about 100 yards east off of CO RD 9.
Here's a link to the photos I took today: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattklitzke/sets/72157604221159621/show/
I did some research about nesting periods for bald eagles....Typically, this occurs during Jan-Mar months in this region. Some of the photos I took look like they could possibly be "young" eagles, however, I don't think it would be possible for the "young" eagles to be of that size already. Any "experts" out there that care to comment?
