So when class size increases to about 30 to 40 kids per class the district test scores drop and the district gets put on a list at the state about the learning thats not happening at the schools, the board closes a building or more than will you believe that district is in trouble? You think the board is not telling you the truth there you will have it!

I was hoping the list of classes to choose from was on the school web site. If it is, I was not able to find it.

When I helped my daughter choose her classes for next year, I found it silly that they offered so many different versions of the same class. If memory serves me correctly, there were 4 or 5 art classes. In the school I went to, there was basic art and advanced art and the school still managed to produce a couple of artists. There are also several shop classes, etc. I know variety is a good thing but there needs to be a balance between what we offer and what we can afford.

I know this is over simplified. I really believe there are places we can cut back and still provide a great education.

Just because a few art classes are offered and a few shop classes are offered in the registration booklet does not mean they will all be actual classes the following year. Students are given more choices to see where their interests lie. After they register for classes, the schedule is built around the classes that filled up with enough students.
