Food packaging event to take place in LP Jan. 25

LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – A Food For Kids packaging drive will take place at Lester Prairie City Hall Wednesday, Jan. 25. Volunteers are needed from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
All donations go toward the cost of the food. Packaged meals include rice, protein mix, dried vegetables, and a vitamin/mineral mix at a cost of 15 cents per meal.
Last year, more than 55,000 meals were packaged in Lester Prairie and $9,400 was raised. The goal is to package another 50,000 meals this year.
