First Street Center offers virtual support group

CARVER COUNTY – First Street Center, Carver County’s community mental health center, now offers residents a free online video support group to those struggling with difficult emotions and thoughts during the COVID-19 crisis. The support group members listen and provides caring advice for one other. This is not a therapy group where people deal with intense conditions. Rather, this group offers listening, understanding, and ideas on coping with the current pandemic on a day-to-day basis.

Any county resident may participate free of charge. The group began meeting May 14, and continues every Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. People may attend the group as needed, with no weekly commitment necessary.
