CARVER COUNTY, MN – The Carver County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on Carver County Road 24 near Oxford Avenue east of Watertown at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 1.
Deputies responding noted the road was frost-glassed and slippery, according to the sheriff’s office

The initial investigation revealed that an eastbound car on County Road 24, driven by a 28-year-old female from Montrose apparently lost control and skidded sideways on the road and was struck broadside by a westbound van driven by a 47-year-old man from Waconia. Both drivers were transported to Ridgeview Medical Center. The female was pronounced dead at the hospital. The male sustained minor injury. The names have not yet been released.
Deputies are continuing to investigate the crash.
