For the second year, the Wright County Historical Society (WCHS) has created a beautiful, indoor winter wonderland. The Rural Life Gallery now holds the Festival of Trees – 18 lit Christmas trees. Each tree is uniquely and beautifully decorated. This year’s trees include traditional decorations, as well as thematic trees sure to create a smile. Thematic trees include one decorated with empty shotgun shells on the Buffalo Gun Club’s tree, or dog treats on the WCHS employee’s pets’ tree. Music, a decorated stagecoach, and a small silent auction round out the experience.
Attendance to the Wright County Heritage Center galleries and Festival of Trees is always free. It is located at 2001 Highway 25 North in Buffaol. Doors are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call Sally Stevens at (763) 682-8945.
