Who would do such a thing?

Rob and Connie Walters, the owners of Thirsty’s Tavern in Dassel, reported break ins at both their business and home. Someone took a safe at their home full of irreplaceable momentos and other items. Who would do such a thing?

A test of faith
From: Rob and Connie Walters
Dassel
We are searching for an answer or understanding to the senseless crimes of robbery and invasion of privacy that have occurred in our lives.

On Nov. 12, 2007, our business, Thirsty’s Tavern in Dassel, was robbed; and now, on Jan. 16, our home was robbed. We are offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglar(s), or the return of the contents of the safe that was taken.

When they robbed our place of business, it was not an easy test of faith, but we got a handle on that. But now, when they entered our home and removed a safe that contained much more than some cash and coins – they took 25 years of memories of our family, many items that have no value to anyone but us – like the birth certificates of our children, those little footprints are irreplaceable. Please consider helping us bring those memories back where they belong.

With the help of the authorities, and the overwhelming support of the community we have chosen to call home, we hope that someone can help restore our memories. We are hoping that the reward will make that happen.

Hate and revenge will not change what has happened, but justice may help all of us stand the test of faith!

Please call the Meeker County Sheriff Confidential Tip line at (320) 693-5411 with any information you may have.
