  1. 1 DC Grandma

We are way too trusting in rural Minnesota. If it isn’t locked up, chained up, or inside a locked building it seems that all personal property is open game for thieves. We lock our house when we even go into our garden, mow lawn or go for a walk. We had small statues stolen from our front yard at one time. So, even garden art it seems is fair game for thieves. The economy hasn’t improved around here so there are thieves looking for items to sell.

Why even lock your doors…how many burglars go up to a door and turn away because the door is locked?
A locked door is just a sign that no one is home. They will find a way in regardless.
