COKATO, MN – The most recent entry in the Caring Bridge journal for little 2-year-old Madison Kautz reads as follows:
“Well, the decision has been made and the tumor is too much to really stop so instead putting her through all of this again in 2 months (which what the radiation might only give her and she would be intubated for 2 of them weeks for sure) we have decided that it is time to just let her go. She is still with us but she could go at any time between right now and 2 weeks.
She has not opened her eyes today at all. I believe it is because she cant because i know that she has tried and she does respond to some of the things that we did. The stiffness in her body was called posturing. She did utter a couple things today, at one point she asked to put her pillow up.
We are going to take her home tomorrow and do hospice care at home. I ask that everyone prays that she remains peaceful and comfortable during her last days with us.”
